Ich erinnere mich an eine Sesamstraße-Episode aus meiner Kindheit. Ernie und Bert. Ernie hat eine Banane im Ohr. Bert fragt warum. Ernie versteht ihn natürlich erst nicht, weil er eine Banane im Ohr hat (duh!), aber bringt dann als Grund, dass das gegen Krokodile helfe. Bert wendet ein, dass es in der Sesamstraße gar keine Krokodile gibt. Darauf meint Ernie: na siehst du mal, wie gut die Banane funktioniert.
Ein Klassiker. Original von 1971, wie mir Google verrät.
Nun, diese zeitlose Argumentationslinie macht sich jetzt auch das britische Oberhaus zu nutze, bei einer Debatte über das Flüssigkeitsverbot in Flugzeugen.

Gut zu wissen, dass die Politik international in so fähigen Händen ist. Und, wie the Register sehr treffend bemerkt, auch die Maßnahmen gegen Asteroideneinschläge und eine Invasion durch Außerirdische funktionieren prächtig! Lest euch mal den ganzen Artikel durch, das ist absolut großartig.
